Science lesson 1

Cooking Chicken Cutlets and Asparagus

First I start with the asparagus.
I start off by cutting off the ends

Next I cut them in half to make the pieces smaller
Once I wash them in the sink with cold water they’re ready to be cooked. I throw them in a pan with some olive oil, salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder.

While the asparagus is cooking I start preparing the chicken. I take all the chicken breasts and cut them in half. This makes them easier to cook and you get more cutlets.
After cutting the chicken breasts I have to get everything ready to bread them. In one bowl I crack 3 eggs in and in the other I add bread crumbs.
Then I whisk all the eggs together.
After whisking the eggs I take the chicken breast one by one and coat them with the egg on both sides. This creates a coating for the breadcrumbs to stick onto the chicken.
Once the chicken breast is coated in egg you then coast it on each side with the breadcrumbs.
The chicken should look like this once fully coated.
Then you cook the chicken in a pan with oil for about 3 minutes on each side.

Once the chicken is done cooking I put it on a plate with the asparagus and served.
