Early jackhammers inspired by steam engine, developed by 1806 also Jonathan Couch invented the jackhammer in 1848 and because of the jackhammer Mont Cenis tunnel constructed between Italy and France, the bridge was planned the be done in 25 years but thanks to the jackhammer it was excelerated by 11 years.
The pin tumbler lock. Linus Yale sr. born in Connecticut in 1797, and when he was a young man they moved him to New York, moved him to a town called Salisbury and then he got married when he was 18 and he and his wife had 4 children. He was connected to the people who founded Yale university and when he was in his 40s he opened a lock shop and there was demand that they should have more security in the banks and then in 1843 Yale invented the pin tumbler lock.
The safety pin. Walter Hunt born in New York 1796, Hunt was one of the guys who invented a version of the sewing machine in 1832 and he had experience needles and sewing industry. but he wanted a safer way so that people couldn’t get hurt so in 1849 he invented the safety pin, the safety has a sharp part and you cover its up with its a metal piece that covers the sharp part so that its safer and nobody can get hurt.
The Gyroscope. Leon Foucault, born in Paris in 1819, he became interested in physics also helped discover the “speed of light” then in 1851 he did a experiment to prove the rotation of the earth so he invented the gyroscope in 1852. The gyroscope actually is installed in our electronics, they helped put man on the moon, used to position satellites, they made GPS possible, and ICBMs by US and USSR.
